The Pizzolato family has farmed and grown grapes for more than five generations now, living in harmony with nature and the environment. The estate extends to 58 hectares and they work with nearby producers who grow organic grapes covering a further 48 hectares. The Pizzolatos started organic farming in 1985 and has been certified since 1991.
The Pizzolato estate is situated in the rich and flourishing countryside in the north of Treviso. The vineyards are on the plains and hillsides, in a DOC (Denominazione di origine controllata) area.
The following DOC grape varieties are produced, either on the Pizzolato estate itself or by the nearby growers: Prosecco, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet, Pinot Nero, Raboso. The Pizzolato estate specialises in cultivating organic wine and wine production. Their wines come from organically-grown grapes to meet the expectation of the health-oriented consumer. All the Pizzolato wines are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, two of their wines are classified as low sulphur.
For the best results wine production is under the supervision of the owner, Settimo Pizzolato, and his staff of ten. The team uses completely up to date winemaking and bottling technology.
