Description

Maison Blanche Les Piliers

Maison Blanche Les Piliers is a dense and well-structured organic wine showing deep red colour. There are ripe aromas of blackberry and cassis, dark chocolate and earth, framed in oak. The palate shows deep blackberry liqueur with prune, spice, graphite and citrus. The finish is quite long with black fruits, mineral flavours and firm acidity. This is a solid Bordeaux and excellent value.

The Château Maison Blanche takes its name from a large and beautiful building in white stone located in the heart of a large park. This is teh family estate of Nicolas Despagne: an illustrious family of wine producers. There are 32 hectares on a single plot of this part of Montagne Saint-Émilion. The plot was converted to organic farming in 2006 and bio-dynamics followed in 2011.

“A family estate where enthusiasm is still cultivated by the slightly off-beat joy of creating natural, sincere and authentic wines” Nicolas Despagne.
