Lobetia Chardonnay, Dominio de Punctum.
Lobetia Chardonnay: an organic wine grown and made naturally allowing the varietal and terroir to stand out. It has a clean bright colour, with a greenish yellow tone. A bouquet of pineapple, tropical fruits and apple. A full flavoured wine, crisp and refreshing, with good acidity in the mouth.
Lobetia Chardonnay is made from organically grown grapes at the Dominio de Punctum estate. The estate uses biodynamic wine growing practices in order to improve the soil structure and enhance the natural cycle of the vines. This also means that the grapes are free of chemical pesticides and fertilisers. The bio-dynamic farming helps achieve the best possible grapes. The Chardonnay grapes are harvested during the night in August. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks with the temperature controlled between 16º C and 18º C. The wine is then gently filtered to keep all natural aromas and characteristics of the grape and vine.
The Punctum Estate in La Mancha, Spain completed its conversion to biodynamic grape growing in 2011. Any of its wines before that date are classified as organic wines rather than biodynamic. The focus on quality is obsessive and shows through in their wines.
