Eremus Joven, Ribera del Duero, Paramo Arroyo.
Eremus Joven is made by Bodegas Paramo Arroyo in the Ribera del Duero region of Spain. This young wine is powerful dark coloured with surprising elegance. The tannins are big, but mouth coatingly rich. It is relatively easy to enjoy and leaves an almost chocolate coating in your mouth. The fruit is soft and dark, the wine is just beautiful and enjoyable to drink.
All the wines produced by Paramo Arroyo are made from organically grown grapes, exclusively from their own vineyards. Currently they have 35 hectares of vineyard under cultivation, in the heart of the Ribera del Duero region. Much of the credit for the wines being so good seems to go to the humorous and twinkly eyed Lina Páramo, the family’s winemaker.
The young red Eremus wine is characterised as clean and bright. It is full-bodied with a lovely dark cherry colour and violet tones. The nose is broad and intense. There are rich fruit flavors: blackberry, raspberry and more. The palate is fresh, balanced, broad and full. Its finish is smooth and persistent. A very versatile young wine.
Grower: Paramo Arroyo.
